Private math tutor software, fun and easy, step by step
Solving math problems while playing games
Gmath is the easiest private math tutor software for grades 4th-6th, aimed at improving your child's math grade.
There is no need to be afraid of math, the software is fully animated and teaches your child
in a fun and easy way how to solve math problems, step by step, with explanations.
The purpose is to make your child learn to solve math problems by himself (or herself) and to
use it when they take math tests.
Therefore, the software makes the student participate in solving the problems, helps him whenever he is stuck
and don't know how to continue, and gives him a score.
Improving weak areas
Your child can tell the software in which areas he wants to improve (
e.g., subtracting fractions or multiply decimal numbers)
and the software will give him problems in those areas and guide him step by step how to solve each one.
Check the math areas he can improve in, detailed per each grade:
Improving math grade
- Step by step math tutoring
- Studying math in a fun and easy way
- Gaining confidence
- Improving grade in math tests
- Getting homework help
- Studying at own convenience and at own pace
Lets get to know the software a bit...
The student can enter problems into the software in free form, from homework, worksheets or of his own, or he can even let the
software give him problems to practice with.
For best results we suggest he will practice in areas he has difficulties in.
For example, lets enter the problem

, the software will look like:
(Click the image to enlarge)
When the student click "Solve" or press "Enter", the solution process starts.
The software opens a dialog on the right which explains what operation should be done now and why, it shows the numbers
at the top and a description below.
Once the dialog is closed, the software will complete the second stage with a reformulated operation.
As you can see, stages are being displayed one after the other, just like as studied at school.
The student also participate in the solution!
The purpose of the software is that
your child will learn how to solve the problems by himself.
The software does not solve the problems completely for him, but instead will have him participate in the solution.
Think of the software as his own private math tutor.
Some operations will be reformulated automatically from one stage to the next, as shown in the previous example.
Other operations are arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication or division)
which needs to be solved manually by the student.
For arithmetic operations, the software will open a panel at the bottom of the screen for the student to solve them.
With Gmath there is no need to be afraid of solving arithmetic operations, if your child gets stuck and don't know how to
continue, the software will help him.
Here we can see the panel opened for the operation 327x36:
The student solves the operation, digit by digit, just as in class.
The software marks in red the calculation needing to be made now and displays a detailed explanation about it.
If the student don't know what digit should be entered next, the software can help him, but he has to first try at
least once by himself before he gets the help.
Trying his best, even if the student is wrong at first times, will make him
improve his knowledge. The software is designed to have the student participate in the solution process, it is only practicing which leads to perfection.
If the student try and prove wrong, a "need help?" bubble will be displayed next to the digit he entered.
Clicking the "need help?" bubble will open a window displaying the current calculation that is needing to be made
where the current digit will be marked in yellow.
This process will help the student understand what should be done at each step in the solution and where he goes wrong, so that next time
he will know what to do when he is solving a similar problem.
The student goes through all the calculations until the operation is solved.
If the student would rather enter the result all at once instead of digit by digit, he can press the "Immediate Result" tab.
The panel display will change to a field where he can enter the result at once.
When the operation is solved the student can press "Enter" or click on the panel.
The panel will be closed and the software will show the stages panel and display the next stage with the result.
Working with Gmath and participating in the solution process helps the student learn and memorize the principles
of solving problems, which will be later on used when taking math tests.
Getting a score
When a problem is completely solved, the software will give the student a score and show him the
number of correct/incorrect answers he made during the solution.
Scrolling through the solution stages is done via the software scroll bar or the keyboard up/down arrows.
Which math areas the software guides?
The software is intended for 4th-6th graders and will guide on any combination
of algebraic expression and arithmetic operation which include whole numbers, simple fractions,
improper fractions, mixed numbers, decimal numbers, parenthesis and the four arithmetic operations.
View the math areas covered by the software according to your child's grade:
Improving Weak Areas
If your child has a weaknesses in certain math areas and he wish to improve those areas (
e.g., adding
fractions with unlike denominators or dividing numbers),
the software can practice with him and give him problems in those specific areas.
The student select the areas he wants to improve by pressing
the "Settings" tab just below the "Get a Problem" button.
A dialog will be opened where the student can select the area.
In the example below, the selected category is fractions and the area selected is "addition of simple fractions".
once the area is selected, each click on the "Get a Problem" button will give the student a new problem in that areas.
The student can start solving the problem immedialtely or modify it first and then solve.
Overcome your child's fear of math
Kids often regard math as a complex and boring subject and are reluctant of learning it.
Gmath is especially designed to make the student feel comfortable practicing math. It is intuitive,
fun and enjoyable to use, as well as being fully animated with plenty of sound effects.
The software acts as the student's private math tutor. He practice at his own pace and the software
patiently guides him at every step on the way and is ready with a click of a button to give him
help whenever he is stuck and don't know how to continue.
Improving your child's math grade
The software does not solve the math problems for your child, it guides him. He is in control and actively
participate in the solution process.
In that way he learns and memorizes the principles needed
to solve the problems and apply those principles later on when taking math tests.
The more he practice the better he will be.
Get your child his own dedicated private math tutor now, click either the "Purchase" or "Download" buttons, money back is guranteed for 14 days.
